Enhancing history, cultures, and territorial resources for a more adequate and systematic tourism promotion: this is the primary objective of Pro Loco “Trapani Centro”.

It is a project designed to be an important point of reference between associations, public and private partners competent in the tourism sector, to propose initiatives that are truly useful and consistent with the socio-cultural context of the Trapani area and local attractions.

The city of Trapani is a place with very high potential: its traditions and history, with the mix of cultures and peoples who have lived there over the centuries (including Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Angevins, Aragonese, and Bourbons); the beauty of its beaches, the uniqueness of the historic center, the environmental resources (including the Trapani and Paceco Salt Pans Nature Reserve), and the rich gastronomy make it a popular destination for numerous visitors. For this reason, it is essential to work together to enhance this great heritage by systematizing resources, skills, and potential through training, communication, and monitoring that can help the public and private sectors in the tourist reception system.
